Chen Jinghong wanted to seize Lan Qingling's dowry and marry her half-sister, Lan Rou. On their wedding night, he framed Lan Qingling for having an affair with the stable hand. He and Lan Rou brazenly brought the stable hand into the bridal chamber. Your dowry stays with Rou'er.” But Lan Qingling was no pushover. She promptly slapped them both, then tossed Chen Jinghong, Lan Rou, and the stable hand onto the bed.
