I Faked Amnesia and Became the Hunter's Beloved

Shen Youyou, a graduate student in agricultural science, is struck by lightning in an experimental field. When she wakes, she's a fifteen-year-old undocumented farm girl fleeing famine, rescued by a single arrow from Lu Ye, a hunter from the mountains.

She pretends to have lost her memory, revives old rice with a “three washes, one warm soak” method, keeps the thunderstorm fields fertile with “high-yield furrows,” and turns famine into abundance with rice-fish-duck farming.

He is taciturn and stern, yet he carries her chamber pot, tends the heated bed, and shoots the wolf king. On a snowy night, he writes their first genuine marriage agreement:

“You keep the knowledge, I'll take care of our life. We'll let the interest compound until we're old and gray.”

From a single grain of old seed everyone looked down on to a thousand acres of triple-crop tribute rice;

From a drafty thatched hut to a mountain granary cave hiding seeds preserved for a thousand years;

They turn technology into poetry and their days together into waves.

The rice waves murmur: knowledge is breathing, and love is putting down roots.
