The Philosopher on the Roof

Lin Fan only wanted to lie flat on the rooftop and watch the stars, but he was captured by an alien spaceship that looked like something out of a ghost story. The haughty, aloof Princess Alicia of Atlas announces that she will turn him into a "civilization manager" to help conquer Earth. But when he asks, "How are you any different from the humans you despise if you control others through violence?" she is left stunned.

Just as their confrontation escalates, a mutiny breaks out aboard the ship. To eliminate the "source of emotional contamination," the "Civilization Purification Faction" activates an extermination protocol and hunts Lin Fan down. At the critical moment, Lin Fan unexpectedly displays a higher-dimensional capacity for empathy, disrupting the purifiers' attack logic and helping Alicia make a desperate escape to Earth.
