Frost and Snow Reflect on the Late-Blooming Crabapple

Five years ago, one promise that it would be “soon” forced childhood sweethearts apart. Five years later, he returns with nine hundred sketches and a broken strand of sandalwood beads, while she reappears behind a cool, elegant mask, carrying a late-blooming flower yet to open. He is a bridge architect, hoping to span the distance of their parting with steel and concrete. She is an independent perfumer, trying to preserve memories through scent. When the “Wantang Bridge” project binds them together once more, old love and new wounds awaken in the cracks. They realize that a shattered mirror need not be made whole again: its pieces can become a river of stars, lighting the way home as they walk side by side. From Frost's Descent to Grain in Ear, the turning seasons bear witness to two hearts falling apart and rebuilding. This is a journey of “loss and rediscovery.” As time chips away at perfection, leaving cracks behind, they learn to let the light in and shape each other into more complete versions of themselves.
