Undercover in the Demon Sect, but My System Tells Me to Become a Saint

[System novel + mistaken assumptions + contrast + decisive killing (because he’s forced to)]

When I woke up, I, Gu Chen, had transmigrated into a lowly servant of the demonic powerhouse **[Netherworld Palace]**.

Here, human life is as worthless as grass, and fellow disciples scheme against one another, with death never far away. Worse still, the **[Merit System]** I got bound to only lets me grow stronger by doing good deeds and accumulating merit!

Doing good in this den where people prey on one another? That’s practically asking to die!

With no other choice, I had to embark on a demonic cultivation path with a rather unusual style.

When a fellow junior disciple had his pills stolen, I charged in and gave the culprit a sound beating, then “threw” the pills back to him. “Useless! You’ve brought shame on all of Netherworld Palace!”

[Ding! Host has punished evil and upheld good. Merit +100. Reward: Great Sun True Scripture!]

When a cold and beautiful senior sister was ambushed, I “happened” to lead her enemies into a monster’s lair, then “casually” tossed the antidote in front of her. “Hmph. Try not to die too pathetically.”

[Ding! Host has saved lives and healed the injured. Merit +500. Reward: one Marrow-Cleansing Pill!]

Gradually, my reputation within the demonic sect became more and more bizarre.

My junior brothers and sisters looked at me with awe. “Senior Brother Gu is terrifying! His methods of torture are unlike anything we’ve ever heard of!”

The elders praised me without end. “This young man has the bearing of a great overlord. His actions are watertight, and he has truly mastered the essence of the demonic path!”

Looking at my rapidly rising cultivation and the fear in everyone’s eyes, I fell into deep thought.

“Could it be… that you demonic cultivators have a slightly unusual understanding of ‘doing good’?”
