From the start: Zhang Yi, a cultivator, encounters Niu Ci, a heretical cultivator. The two fight to the death and fall from a high-martial world into a low-martial one.
The middle: The protagonist, Heitu (Zhang Yi), livestreams explanations of ghost stories. A panel of experts questions him, but Heitu doesn't turn the experts into villains. His goal is clear: his opponent is the heretical cultivator Niu Ci.
The climax: Heitu (Zhang Yi) is invited to the capital by the powerful people at the National Preceptor Bureau to serve as a master. Who could have guessed that the heretical cultivator Niu Ci Hamo knows the art of war? The story takes a bit of a turn, shifting from mystery to a tale of supernatural military expansion, and from one man fighting alone to a war between humans and demons.
The ending: I haven't written it yet, so I haven't decided how it will turn out...
