Saving for Retirement with My Nemesis, the God

My name is Lin Xingyu. I used to be called the “Doomsday Demon Lord.”

My current life goal: save enough for retirement and settle down in the human world.

I successfully got a job at the National Special Cases Investigation Department, with generous benefits and a great retirement plan.

There’s just one problem: my immediate superior, Huo Jianhua, is my old nemesis, the Supreme Martial God who personally sealed me away ten thousand years ago.

These days, he’s a cold corporate drone fretting over KPIs and his mortgage, while I’m a rookie office worker on his team, “weak as they come.”

We pretend not to know each other by day, then team up at night to deal with S-rank supernatural disasters.

We work together so seamlessly, it’s as if we’d never been apart.

Until one mission, when I used my primordial demonic power to save him.

He pinned me against the wall, his breath scorching.

“Having fun pretending to be a rookie?”

“…I’ve been looking for you for ten thousand years, Lin Xingyu.”
