After an accident sent her transmigrating into the depths of another world’s sea, Luo Yao was cherished by four merman kings, each taking turns holding her in the palm of his hand.
Lois, king of the Eastern Sea, sang her the most moving love songs. Seville, ruler of the North, built her the strongest palace. Helian, the tyrant of the South, offered her his burning heart. Percyvale, the wise man of the West Sea, answered every question she had.
They lavished her with love, yet secretly erased every clue that might lead her home.
“Why do you want to leave?”
Lois wrapped his arms around her from behind. His voice was gentle, yet sent a shiver through her. “Haven’t we treated you well enough?”
Seville froze the entire border sea so she couldn’t escape.
Helian whispered in her ear, “Forget that world. Just keep your eyes on us.”
Percyvale smiled as he offered her a potion that left her weaker by the day. “This is the perfect remedy to lift your spirits.”
Just as she was about to give up on going home, unfamiliar fragments of memory suddenly flashed through her mind:
An ancient palace in the deep sea, a throne left empty for ages, and four familiar figures bowing their heads in submission...
Luo Yao stared blankly up at the four men, who were busy competing for her attention.
So her coming to this world had never been an accident at all...
