The Queen of Forensics Transmigrates and Turns the Court Upside Down With Her Autopsies

Lin Wei, a top modern forensic pathologist, dies suddenly while performing an autopsy after working all night. When she opens her eyes, she has become Su Xiao, an orphan in the fictional Great Yan dynasty. Adopted by an old coroner called Zhang the Lame, she has to disguise herself as a man to make a living. Before she can adjust to the hardships of working as a coroner in ancient times, her master is murdered for examining a corpse, then falsely accused of theft. To clear his name, Su Xiao must rely on her forensic expertise and search for clues in one body after another. But after saving a nobleman during an examination, she accidentally gets caught up in a struggle between princes and is promoted at every turn by the cold emperor Xiao Yu, who thinks of her as a “little brother.” She uses her scalpel to solve strange cases and take down bullies, while winning people over with her modern cooking skills. All the while, she has to hide that she’s a woman, lest her identity be exposed and cost her not only her official position but also leave her quietly stirring heart in suspense. In the end, she rises from a lowly coroner to become a female judicial commissioner, unmasks the mastermind, and even wins the cold-faced emperor’s heart.
