The Warlord's Rise: Eight Beauties Shape the Republic of China

Ma Xiaochou, a loser fresh out of college with a degree in military theory, can’t find a job and unexpectedly transmigrates to the early Republic of China, a time of warring warlords and desperate poverty. Armed with modern military knowledge, he starts out as a low-ranking soldier. With tactical thinking far ahead of his time, innovative ideas for improving weapons, and plans for building an army, he rises to prominence in the chaos: rallying scattered troops, defeating local strongmen, and uniting rival forces, he grows from a minor local warlord into a ruthless leader who sweeps across the nation.

In the midst of the turmoil, he meets eight women with vastly different personalities and backgrounds: a brilliant young lady from a distinguished family, a formidable female officer, a compassionate and highly skilled doctor, a shrewd businesswoman, a perceptive journalist, a chivalrous woman of the martial world, an overseas student with advanced technical expertise, and the daughter of a local gentry family. Ma Xiaochou wins their hearts with his sincerity and sense of responsibility, and makes all eight his wives. Surprisingly, they don’t compete for his favor. Instead, each uses her talents to play a crucial role in his rise to power. After the wedding, they live together in harmony, helping one another.

See how Ma Xiaochou uses modern military knowledge to sweep the warlord battlefields, his humor and sense of responsibility to master life in the harem, and ultimately unify the nation, establish a new order, and write a legendary tale of the Republic of China alongside his eight beautiful wives!
