A Darling Enchantress Hides Atop the Golden Throne Hall

Jin Liuli, a three-hundred-year-old little demon who took the form of a roof tile, played dead and managed to coast her way to becoming a veteran fixture on the roof of the Golden Throne Hall.

She had planned to lie flat until the end of time, but her most dangerous, obsessive disciple wouldn’t leave her alone. The pitiful young Emperor Nangong Ye coughed blood and played the weakling by day, then knelt before her at night, begging to become an overachiever: “Master! Hurry up and teach me how to elegantly take out those treacherous ministers!”

And so, the least reliable master and disciple in history joined forces to turn their fortunes around. She gave chaotic advice on ruling from the rooftop, while he schemed and put on a show at court, taking down powerful ministers...

At long last, they won the realm together in a glorious victory. But then the lonely, cold Emperor insisted on swearing brotherhood with her, despite her being a woman disguised as a man, and becoming her sworn elder brother!

After finally cultivating a human form by gobbling up piles of medicinal tribute, she watched her scheming disciple’s secret identity fall apart. The mad Emperor insisted on abandoning the realm to dote on her alone.

He even declared shamelessly, “Master, the realm is yours, and you are mine. If you won’t marry me, I’ll destroy it!”

Wait, when did this rebellious disciple learn to threaten his master and defy his betters?!
