A Marriage of Strategy: Mr. Shen's Darling

To resist her family's arranged marriage, Gu Zhiyi, the eldest daughter of the Gu family, transforms herself into a career-driven elite and earns a “notorious” reputation on blind dates. Then she meets Shen Shunan, an investment manager who is supposedly just as “ordinary” as she is. Thinking this is another unspoken business arrangement, she hands him a contract: “Let's fake a marriage and stay out of each other's way.”

Shen Shunan looks at her, a deep smile in his eyes. “All right.”

He plays along in this act called “marriage.” When her family gives her a hard time, he is her strongest support; when she fights her way up at work, he quietly clears the path for her.

Just as Gu Zhiyi finally establishes herself in the business world and prepares to bow out, she spots the “ordinary” husband she knows standing beneath the spotlight at a top-tier business summit, where all eyes are on him.

The man walks toward her as she stares in astonishment, takes her hand, and murmurs in front of countless cameras, “Madam, I want this act to last a lifetime.”
