Treasure Soaked in Strong Liquor

In the future city of Micheng, ravaged by “Memory Loss Syndrome,” citizens rely on “memory beacons” implanted in their brains to maintain their identities and emotions. Lin Su, a top memory-repair specialist, spends day after day mending other people’s shattered memories in hopes of saving his terminally ill younger sister. But when he finds an uncrackable stream of anomalous data in her beacon, his peaceful world is turned upside down. Following the clues, he ventures into the city’s shadowy districts, where he meets the mysterious “memory wanderer,” Nightingale. She claims the memory beacon System, revered as an unquestionable truth, is nothing more than a carefully woven prison of lies. Forced to choose between protecting his sister and uncovering the truth, Lin Su finds that every step he takes awakens the city’s buried secrets, along with a dangerous truth capable of overturning civilization itself.
