GG Bond: The Five-Spirit Guardians

The story begins in the peaceful Fairy Tale Town. The hero, GG Bond, is a lazy, troublemaking “snack connoisseur” whose only dream is to taste every delicacy in town. But his mischievous ways always earn him a scolding from his grandfather, a retired member of the Five-Spirit Guardians, who says he has “no sense of responsibility.” One day, GG Bond sneaks his grandfather's “Five-Spirit Summoner” to play with and accidentally awakens the “Shadow Fragment,” sealed away for a hundred years. The fragment possesses villains in Fairy Tale Town, such as the Big Bad Wolf, who grows enormous, and a hunter who loses control, plunging the town into chaos. At the critical moment, the summoner resonates with GG Bond's all-consuming love of food, awakening the weakest of the Five-Spirit powers: the Stone Armor Bear. Using his hardened body, he shields the cake shop from being crushed, and for the first time understands what it means to protect others. To repair the summoner, his grandfather takes GG Bond to the “Five-Spirit Ruins.” Along the way, they are pursued by the Shadow Fragment. After his grandfather is injured, GG Bond is forced to grow up. He learns to control the Stone Armor Bear's power and uses his “foodie smarts,” such as luring Shadow Bees with honey and trapping enemies with cake, to overcome one crisis after another. In the end, he successfully repairs the summoner and officially becomes a “Trainee Five-Spirit Guardian,” only to discover that a vast conspiracy targeting the “Source of the Five Spirits” lies behind the Shadow Fragment.
