The Courage of a Commoner

My name is Lu Zhanyuan. My master just died, and now I'm being hunted.

They say I'm the bastard offspring of a spear cultivator, and that everyone should kill me.

I put up with it. After all, I have to avenge my father and my master.

I flee from place to place, stumble upon one fortuitous encounter after another, and meet a fairy. It looks like I'm about to embark on the road to a comeback.

Then, in the villains' lair, I see my "long-dead" master. He's wearing a uniform of the Netherworld Cult, his eyes cold as he tries to shove me off the altar!

I'm completely dumbfounded.

Master, aren't we on the same side? That's not how the script is supposed to go!

Even more absurdly, the little fairy beside me says in a quiet voice, "Don't be afraid. This is my brother's turf. I'll get you out."

Me: ???

Fine, you're all amazing.

This whole world is full of tricks, and everyone's heart is rotten.

Good thing my spear is straight and hard!
