Synopsis

After transmigrating to ancient times, Chen Fan opened his eyes to a living hell. The Great Yan dynasty had reached its final days. Strange monsters roamed everywhere, devouring people’s vital energy and turning them into puppets. He became one of countless refugees, struggling to survive in the mud beneath the city walls, living each day with hunger, exhaustion, and the ever-present fear of death. Hope was scarce. His only lifeline was a Journey to the West game interface inside him that charged at a painfully slow rate. When the first stroke of immortal fortune from the Enlightenment Cliff arrived, the Great Sage Equal to Heaven personally taught him the spell [Draw a Circle and Make It a Prison]. It became the first lifeline he carved out in the endless night. The monsters others feared like tigers were kept outside his circle; the barren land others scorned became a safe place to shelter. While others begged the army for protection in their panic, he quietly farmed and repaired his home, rebuilding order amid despair. While the powerful wondered why high-level monsters didn’t attack the army, he had already begun to touch upon the divine path of incense and worship, appointing underworld gods to protect the region. He went from wanting only to stay alive, to being forced to help those around him, until, without even realizing it, he was shouldering a crumbling dynasty. This is the story of an ordinary man trying to survive the apocalypse who, by accident, saves the entire world. The circle he draws no longer guards the peace of a single corner, but the hearts of all under heaven.
