A Bloody Journey: Bloodshed in Jinling

Modern special forces soldiers Su Rui and Lu Zheng accidentally transmigrate during a mission, only to find themselves back in 1937, in Nanjing as flames of war engulf the city. They have entered the youthful days of their own great-grandfathers. At the time, the Japanese army is attacking Jinling from three directions. Zijin Mountain, Guanghua Gate, and Yuhuatai have become bloody battlegrounds, while defenders including Gui Yongqing's Training Corps and the 36th Division are holding the isolated city with their lives.

Watching their great-grandfathers fight desperately against a Japanese army with overwhelmingly superior equipment, and witnessing their compatriots struggle to survive amid bombing and the threat of a massacre, the two soldiers, armed with modern combat concepts and skills, can no longer stand by. They quickly join the defenders, using precise tactical coordination to make up for their equipment disadvantage. They set ambushes in the streets and alleys, take sniper positions on the city walls, and, through life-or-death trials of delivering intelligence and rescuing the wounded, bring modern special operations expertise to the defense of the ancient city walls.

From holding their positions at Yuhuatai to rushing to the aid of those trapped by the river at Xiaguan, Su Rui and Lu Zheng fight alongside their great-grandfathers and the 70,000 defenders, going against the tide. They are not only descendants protecting their forebears, but also vanguard soldiers fighting the enemy in blood. With their passion and steadfast devotion, they compose a stirring, blood-soaked song across time amid the ruins of Jinling.
