The Mad Tianpeng: His Rake Is a Nuclear Bomb

Don't mistake him for a stupid pig demon! He's the silent nuclear bomb of the Three Realms: the one who once held the lock on the Celestial River, swallowed the Yin Rod, and endured a cataclysm!

The Eastern Prince's world-ending scheme, “Pig Swallows the Moon”: Guanghan Palace is the moon's floodgate, Chang'e is the key to the soul, and only Tianpeng can open the divine gate to the Abyss with his blood. Yet he carries the “water army's nuclear launch button” (the Commander's Tally) and grips a rake forged from Yu the Great's Yin Rod, its teeth engraved with “Kill Chang'e first.” He deliberately tarnishes his reputation by “harassing a fairy” and gets banished, only to land in a pig's body and guard the Celestial River's floodgate.

On the pilgrimage, he shouts, “Let's split up the luggage!” because he fears the Jade Emperor might send a double to open the gate. He pretends to be “afraid of water” to put the Celestial Court at ease. At Lion-Camel Ridge, he breaks his teeth chewing up a secret order, cutting off every path of retreat.

The Buddha names him the Clean Altar Messenger, but the real reason is to make him swallow all the Three Realms' dirty secrets. When he pats his belly and says, “I'm full,” he's declaring, “The evidence is gone.”

In the pigsty at Gao Village, that creature who became the living safety valve of the Three Realms still lies forever: the silent nuclear bomb!
