A Monk in the City, but the System Sends Me to Fetch the Scriptures

[Invincible Protagonist + Wild Imagination + Journey to the West Mythology Descends]

Tang Xuan was an utterly ordinary college student whose greatest ambition in life was to scrape by until graduation.

That is, until I bound myself to a “Journey to the West Pilgrimage” System.

From then on, my college life changed completely.

Riding a secondhand electric scooter to class, the System announced: [Congratulations, Host! You have subdued the White Dragon Horse. Your travel speed has greatly increased!]

My hot-tempered roommate got into a fight over a video game and knocked several people senseless with a few punches and kicks.

The System cried out: [Your first disciple, Wukong, is ready! With him vanquishing demons, your life is safe!]

I brought my gluttonous roommate some pork knuckle rice, and the System was touched: [Your second disciple, Bajie, has pledged his loyalty. His good fortune runs deep!]

The most ridiculous thing was when I scraped through my final exam with a score of sixty. It immediately announced: [Congratulations, Host! You have survived a tribulation and obtained a fragment of the True Scriptures. Your mastery of Buddhist teachings is complete!]

Gradually, I realized that demons really did exist in this world.

And it seemed that, in their eyes, I was the legendary monk whose flesh could grant immortality with a single bite…

The demons: “Catch that Tang Monk!”

Tang Xuan: “Stop chasing me! I'm really not Tang Sanzang!”
