Reborn in 1962, I start with a junkyard.
Everyone is waiting to see me starve or work myself to death. Even the factory beauty looks at me with disdain.
But they don’t know that my mind is packed with military-industrial technology sixty years ahead of its time!
While everyone else is fretting over a single screw, I’ve already built a lathe out of scrap metal. When factories shut down over technologies that leave them at the mercy of others, the blueprints I casually sketch astonish the chief engineer!
From a lowly apprentice who endured everyone’s scorn to the backbone of the Republic’s military industry.
“Comrade, how did you solve the precision problem with this artillery shell casing?”
I smile without a word, keeping my achievements to myself.
This is not a novel, it feels like a memoir 👍
