Novel Script: A Hilarious CEO Romance
Characters:
· Shen Zhi: 28, CEO of a multinational corporation, worth hundreds of billions. He looks cold on the outside, but inside lives a world-class wisecracker. A logic fanatic, he uses business analysis to solve everything.
· Lin Xiaoxiao: 24, a junior employee at the company who calls herself a “mastermind hunter.” Her goal is to win Shen Zhi and climb the social ladder. She's a natural drama queen, but always fumbles at crucial moments.
· Wang Mang: 30, Shen Zhi's business rival. He's devious, but has terrible luck.
Act One: The Bar “Heart Hunter”
Setting: An upscale bar with dreamy, dim lighting.
Time: Night.
(Lin Xiaoxiao wears a carefully chosen battle dress and sits in a conspicuous spot at the bar. A glass of “specialty” fruit juice sits in front of her. She keeps glancing at the entrance.)
Lin Xiaoxiao: (Inner monologue) Target is within range. According to Chapter Three of The Art of Seduction, accidental physical contact is the key to breaking the ice. Great, he's coming this way... Three, two, one... Fall!
(Just as Shen Zhi passes by, Lin Xiaoxiao makes a perfectly timed “slip,” lets out a delicate “Oh!” and tips her glass, spilling a few drops as she falls toward Shen Zhi.)
(Shen Zhi stops short. Instead of catching her as she'd expected, he quickly steps back half a pace and pinches the fabric at the back of Lin Xiaoxiao's collar between two fingers, like picking up a troublemaking cat.)
