Little Forensic Expert: My Ex's Autopsy Reveals My DNA

Late at night in the autopsy room, my ex-husband’s body has just been wheeled in when my DNA report sets off an uproar: the biological evidence under the victim’s fingernails is a 100% match for me.

I’m one of the top female forensic pathologists in the field. I’ve only just cleared my name when my three-and-a-half-year-old son tugs at my lab coat and points at the autopsy report in his babyish voice. “Mom, this fiber is the same as the one on Auntie Wang’s scarf.”

I freeze. This child has been tagging along with me at the forensic center since he was little, and he has secretly memorized every step of an autopsy. He can even recognize the shape of a fiber under a microscope at a glance.

My ex-husband’s “perfect fiancée” is riddled with suspicious details, and there’s a life hidden beneath the respectable facade of his wealthy family. Stranger still, my son always pinpoints details I’ve overlooked. “The mark on Dad’s wrist wasn’t from suicide. It looks like the paperweight in Grandpa’s study.”

As the investigation deepens, I discover that my ex-husband’s death is connected to an old case from five years ago. The longevity lock around my son’s neck is engraved with the same mysterious symbol found at the crime scene.

Is the DNA a frame-up, or a message from the dead? Where did my little prodigy’s extraordinary talent come from? As the truth gradually surfaces, I realize that the person closest to me has long since laid an earth-shattering trap.

“Don’t be afraid, Mom.” My son raises a miniature scalpel, his gaze unwavering. “I’ll help you find the real killer!”

Mother and son join forces to crack the case. This time, we’ll clear the victim’s name and keep each other safe! My new book is now available. Come read my work on Tomato Novel. I hope you enjoy it. Your support keeps me writing, and I’ll do my best to tell every story well!
