Zootopia: A New Detective’s First Lesson

This city was once the whole of her dreams...

Until the cracks began spreading from its brightest places.

When Judy happened upon an old file containing a yellowed map, she discovered that things were far from simple. Zootopia was not the center of the world, and she had never belonged here.

The map's far end pointed east: the Flowering Nation, the Rabbit Kingdom. There, she would find celadon bowls and chopsticks she had never seen before, family genealogies filled with brush-written characters, and ancient caves echoing with dialects. Every bamboo slip called out to her bloodline.

And as she searched, the truth about Zootopia began to crumble:

Nick's guarded silence, half a sketch beneath the claws of the snow leopard director, three pairs of footprints in the marsh that could never be pieced together... Everything pointed to a lie that had lasted 125 years.

“You wanted to be a police officer only because your genes have always been marked with the duty to protect.”

As the recorder's red light came on and the doors to two worlds opened at once...

Would Judy stay in the dream city where cracks were spreading, or set out on an adventure to find her true origins?

Some darkness exists so that the light can find its way home.

Some cracks exist so the truth can take root.

This winter, Zootopia: A New Detective's First Lesson

Not every homeland is where you began your journey...
