A modern enthusiast of Ming history transmigrates into the enthronement ceremony at Zijin Mountain in the first year of Hongwu, becoming Zhu Yuanzhang just as he is about to offer sacrifices to Heaven. He awakens the Ming Dynasty Comeback System!
Looking at the officials kneeling before him, he tears up the edict beginning with “By the Mandate of Heaven” on the spot and proclaims “seek truth from facts” as his guiding principle for governing, leaving the entire court speechless!
From the start, he saves Crown Princess Chang, exposes the treacherous Lu clan, and protects Empress Ma, Zhu Biao, and Zhu Xiongying, putting right the Ming Dynasty's greatest tragedy!
He abolishes hereditary fiefdoms and introduces a system of princes guarding the frontiers, eliminating the threat of the Jingnan Rebellion. He abolishes the chancellorship and establishes a secretariat, with Liu Bowen as chief secretary overseeing the whole government. He transforms the Six Ministries into modern departments and splits the Embroidered Uniform Guard into domestic and foreign branches, ruthlessly purging treacherous officials!
He develops cement, builds highways, and kick-starts industry, bringing the steam engine to life ahead of schedule. He reforms the military, trains new troops, and manufactures firearms, making the Ming army stronger than any force past or present!
The Northern Yuan? Blown to pieces with a single cannon shot! Southeast Asia? Taken along the way! The European powers? Nothing but sitting ducks in the age of firearms!
From the Forbidden City in Nanjing to colonies around the globe, from an agrarian dynasty to an empire where the sun never sets, Zhu Yuanzhang stands atop Zijin Mountain and cries, “I will not only make up for the Ming Dynasty's regrets, I will plant its banners across the whole world!”
This is a rousing power fantasy about an emperor with a System who protects his loved ones, strengthens the Ming, and rules the world. It's fast-paced and packed with excitement, blending humor with swagger to show you a Hongwu Emperor like no other!
