Archaeology from the Start, and My Teammate Is a Boss

Archaeologist Chen Mo is thrown into the ultimate trial, one designed to destroy civilizations.

While others fight monsters, she deciphers doomsday inscriptions. While they flee for their lives, she does reading comprehension with the ancient gods.

Her scores end up so high that she attracts the System Administrator's forced punishment.

When all seems lost, she picks up an incredible teammate, “Qi”: a perfect ten in both looks and combat ability, ruthless and taciturn, and a walking guarantee of safety.

Together, they take down anything in their path.

Until Chen Mo deciphers the core inscription of an SSS-grade ruin, which clearly reads:

[Highest Wanted Notice: Target ‘Qi,’ codename ‘Oblivion,’ primordial bug, Sequence 001. Threat Level: Civilization-ending.]

She stiffly turns to face him, meeting his deep gaze.

The man leisurely wipes the blood from his blade and gives her a smile that is at once genuine and more dangerous than any she has seen from him before.

“Only just now checking my employee file?”

“Congratulations, Chen Mo. You passed the interview.”

“You’re now an official accomplice on a world-ending project. So, have you figured out how we’re going to take this hellhole down together?”
