The Liangshan Sequel: Embers of the Jianghu

After Song Jiang and the other leaders accepted the imperial amnesty, the Liangshan heroes were either killed in battle or framed by treacherous ministers. Only a little over twenty survived, scattered across the land. It is now the late Northern Song dynasty. Though Fang La’s rebellion has been put down, the court grows ever more corrupt, and Jin forces are already watching from the north. The people are burdened by heavy taxes and levies, and resentment is widespread.
