Hard Work Is Rewarded by Heaven: Even Other People's Effort Counts as Hard Work

Jiang Xuan transmigrates as an illegitimate son in a prince's household, and from the start he's caught in a deadly chain of plots set by his vicious stepmother. Fortunately, there's always a way out. He awakens the “Heaven Rewards the Diligent System.” [Heaven rewards the diligent, and no effort is ever wasted. Host, sleep at the third watch, rise at the fifth, and work hard day after day, year after year.] Seriously, man? If I were that hardworking, what would I need you for? Besides, Jiang Xuan doesn't even have a cultivation technique, so relying on the System to survive would be difficult. So he racks his brains to get a cultivation technique from his vicious stepmother. He plans to work hard, until he discovers that he can reap the rewards of other people's hard work, too. [Host has witnessed the guards practicing martial arts. Heaven has taken notice of their efforts. Host's cultivation technique proficiency +1, +1, +1...] ?! “Sorry, bro System. I admit I was a little loud just now.” … When a junior disciple asks Immortal Emperor Jiang how he managed to persevere until he reached his current realm, Jiang Xuan sighs with feeling: “Heaven rewards the diligent, everyone. If you work hard, you'll surely reap the rewards.” It's just that I'm not sure who'll be reaping them.
