The Dead Bear Witness: Forty Years on the Killer's Trail

Spanning forty years, from 1985 to 2025, veteran detective Chen Mu follows the mystery of Li Jianguo’s disappearance. Told through two interwoven timelines, the story connects more than thirty interlocking cases. From the dark dealings of mining towns to political conspiracies, family feuds, and transnational crime, three generations of detectives pursue the truth in an ultimate struggle over power, blood ties, and justice. As the silent testimonies gradually come to light, the web of evil will finally be torn apart, and the legacy of justice will never fade with time.
