Your Majesty, Your Little One Is Five

Five years ago, a palace conspiracy ended with Empress Xu dying in childbirth and her baby girl perishing. Emperor Liu Heng was consumed by grief, and buried his broken heart in affairs of state.

Five years later, a powerful minister is executed, and a secret memorial reveals a stunning truth: the princess may still be alive!

At Qingliang Temple on Mount Wutai, Liu Heng meets a little girl chanting a rebirth mantra for ants. Her features are uncannily like those of his beloved late wife. One piece of malt sugar, softened in his hand, melts the heart the emperor has kept frozen for five years.

The mischievous Wuyou has a clear-eyed, easygoing wisdom. She climbs onto the imperial throne to handle state affairs, grows vegetables in the imperial garden, and uses a child’s innocence to heal her battle-scarred father.

But an empty tomb in the imperial mausoleum, secrets from a former dynasty, and the mystery surrounding the Medicine King follow one after another. When Wuyou murmurs in her sleep, “Mother is looking at flowers in the white house,” Liu Heng realizes that his beloved wife, Xu Wanqing, may not have left this world after all...

See how this sweet, easygoing little girl warms the lonely emperor’s heart, and how the family of three reunites through layers of mystery, composing a fairy tale set in the inner palace. This is a heartwarming story of love and healing, of searching and protecting.
