The System Wants Me to Become the Great Sage, Heaven’s Equal

High school student Chen Tianyi is Sun Wukong’s biggest fan, but he dies unexpectedly and binds to the [Myriad Realms Supreme System]. Given the chance to inhabit the souls of emperors and generals throughout history, he chooses his idol without hesitation: Great Sage Equal to Heaven Sun Wukong!

He thought he was about to smash through the Lingxiao Palace and live free and carefree. But he never imagined that the moment he transmigrated into Sun Wukong’s soul would be the darkest point in the entire Journey to the West!

This isn’t Flower-Fruit Mountain. It’s the lowest level of the Ninefold Netherworld!

The real Great Sage Equal to Heaven was imprisoned here by the Tathagata back in the “True and False Monkey King” episode. Stripped of his magic, he suffers day and night as karmic fire burns him. The one who replaced him on the journey to become a Buddha was nothing but a stand-in arranged by the Tathagata himself: the Six-Eared Macaque!

This is a shocking conspiracy unknown to anyone in the Three Realms. Chen Tianyi is the only one who knows this dark secret, but he is also a dying monkey trapped in a hopeless place.

“Ding! System mission issued: Keep your mind clear for one hundred years as karmic fire burns your soul...”

In this desperate situation, the System is his only hope. From scaling the walls of the nether prison with his bare hands to devouring the remnant souls of demons to recover a fraction of his magic, Chen Tianyi sets out on a path of revenge from the depths of hell to the summit of Spirit Mountain.

With Flower-Fruit Mountain in ruins, his brothers treating a traitor as their father, and all the gods and Buddhas in heaven exposed as impostors... how will he, the Great Sage Equal to Heaven with a modern soul, rise again from a speck of dust?

This time, he won’t just tear down the Lingxiao Palace. He’ll shatter this hypocritical Heavenly Dao!
