A Misty-Rain Journey of Wandering Heroes

Azure Edge Cleanses the Moon tells the story of Chu Jiangliu, a young man from the riverside, and his journey to grow in the martial world. In late autumn, Chu Jiangliu sails his battered boat, the Floating Duckweed, to Yangzhou to make a living. At Duanyun Ferry, he runs into Xiao Qianjue, a guardian of the Black Wind Sect, and is accidentally drawn into the feuds of the martial world. Using his self-created Swimming Fish Footwork, he escapes his pursuers and meets Su Qingyuan, who carries an ancient Moon-Cleansing scroll and is being hunted by the Black Wind Sect.

The two flee together with the scroll, facing one peril after another: battling the Black-and-White Fiends in Wangshui Town, and receiving martial arts guidance from Lin Mo, a reclusive master, in the Misty Forest. Later, with the Jiangnan Iron Cavalry escorting them, they reach the Misty Rain Tower. Chu Jiangliu becomes Liu Changfeng's disciple and learns the Misty Rain Sword Technique, while Su Qingyuan gradually uncovers the Black Wind Sect leader Shangguan Xie's plot to master the Heart-Devouring Demon Art.

After the righteous alliance is formed, they set their sights on the Black Wind Sect's headquarters. Chu Jiangliu combines the Misty Rain Sword Technique with the Moon-Cleansing Sword Technique and ultimately kills Shangguan Xie. From then on, Chu Jiangliu and Su Qingyuan travel the martial world as the Misty Rain Heroes, championing justice. Though they retire from the world for a time, the rise of the Heavenly Eagle Sect and the abduction of their son bring them back, and they join forces with their fellow martial artists to destroy the sect. Later conflicts revolve around the Chaos Stone, the Spirit Link Sword, and more. Through it all, Chu Jiangliu remains true to chivalry, protecting those close to him and preserving peace in the martial world.
