Zhu Yuanzhang: You Want Me to Archaeologically Dig Up My Own Past?

My name is Zhu Changshou. I ate a pill refined by Zhang Sanfeng and lived from the Ming dynasty to the present day.

Now I'm a specially appointed consultant to the imperial tomb archaeological team, watching these youngsters dig around in my own Xiaoling Mausoleum.

“Professor, the main tomb chamber has to be behind this stone door! We're about to witness history!” the team leader exclaimed.

I couldn't hold back. “Stop prying at it. There's a pit trap three feet to the left and quicksand five feet to the right. This door is fake.”

The whole place fell silent. Everyone stared at me in shock.

The old professor adjusted his glasses. “Xiao Zhu... how do you know that?”

My heart gave a lurch. Oh no, I'd let it slip.

That night, the project team held an emergency meeting. Smoke filled the conference room. The old professor took a phone call, then came back with a grave expression and motioned for everyone to turn off their recording devices.

He stared at me, his voice trembling with excitement. “We've just received the highest-level directive... Your Majesty, the Great Ancestor. We've found the Imperial Jade Seal you hid all those years ago. We need you to come home and take charge.”
