My Stoic Childhood Friend Is Sweet on His Little Plum Blossom

“Let’s play a game. Here, five tries! One, two, three, four, five... Open it!” “Ah, it won’t open... I guess we’re not meant to be.” “Um... maybe it means we’re ‘destined not to unlock it.’” “Brother Yanzhou, my parents are both gone.” “Gu Yanzhou, did I dance well?” “Gu Yanzhou... My uncle and the others can’t stand having me around.” “Gu Yanzhou, I’m going abroad with my aunt.” “Here, this is for you. Will you remember me?” “Gu Yanzhou, I’ll definitely come back. Wait for me...” Suddenly, he opened his eyes. In the darkness, a pair of starry eyes gazed at the ceiling. In the silence, only his still-unsteady breathing could be heard. A baseless sense of familiarity, like the finest needle, suddenly pierced Gu Yanzhou’s heart. Ten years. Could it be her?
