[Single Female Lead] [No Harem]
Tang Shou heroically sacrifices himself to save a little girl, only to wake up in a bizarre cultivation world with two moons, glowing forests, and demonic beasts that open their mouths to eat people.
Even more absurdly, before he has even started cultivating, he has already developed a heart demon! A white-haired, red-eyed little girl who's completely useless apart from her sharp tongue, snarky comments, and shouts of "You can do it!"
Branded a "good-for-nothing" with no spiritual roots by the sect, Tang Shou is at his wit's end when a bolt of lightning strikes him with pinpoint accuracy. He survives, but a mysterious black ring appears on his hand.
Tang Shou is overjoyed. "A golden finger! My cheat has finally arrived!"
But the way to obtain the ring's recognition leaves him dumbfounded:
"Young man, you want me to acknowledge you as my master? Convince me in a debate tournament first!"
And so begins the most absurd master-recognition ceremony in history. His opponents are the "Heavenly Dao Host," possessing the ring, and the "Narration Sprite," a narration that has cultivated sentience.
When the other side offers him a choice between "slay the demon to attain the Dao" and "fall in love with the demon," Tang Shou slaps his thigh and makes a decision that shocks everyone present.
He turns around and drops to one knee before his own heart demon.
"I choose option three! Marry me! Not date me, marry me!"
Heavenly Dao Host: "???"
Narration Sprite: "!!!"
Little Heart Demon: "Y-you idiot! Who wants to marry you?!"
