Jiangzhu Returns: A Record of Power Plays in the Dream of the Red Chamber

The Record of Power and Schemes in Dream of the Red Chamber: The Return of the Crimson Pearl tells the story of Lin Daiyu, who is reborn on the day of Baoyu's wedding. She sees through Madam Wang's scheme to switch the bride and establishes her footing as Lin Ruhai's daughter. No longer weak after being reborn, Daiyu starts by auditing the accounts at Xiaoxiang House and rooting out corrupt servants. She takes advantage of an opportunity to help Baoyu manage affairs to gain control of purchasing and close loopholes. Then, using a bird's nest fraud case to expose problems among Madam Wang's trusted aides, she takes charge of the Rongguo Mansion's household affairs and gradually gains control of its operations. At the same time, she revives the Lin family's old properties in Jiangnan and reforms their management, bringing the business back to life. She contacts her father's former subordinates and uses his notes on salt administration to attract the court's attention, ultimately helping the Lin family restore its standing and unite its clan. She calmly resolves crises such as the case involving the Prince Zhongshun's mansion, earning a plaque inscribed “Uprightness Passed Down Through the Generations.” Daiyu and Baoyu's affection deepens into a friendship of kindred spirits, and together they protect both families. In the end, she uses her wisdom and resolve to take control of her life, stabilizing the Rongguo Mansion and revitalizing the Lin family as she builds a new life for herself, strong and independent.
