I Didn't Want to Carry the Team, but the System Insisted

When Sun Xiaoshuai got bound to the [Soccer Superstar System], he refused to go along with it.

Lead the national team to the World Cup? That mission was more absurd than China losing to Vietnam!

All he wanted was to slack off and become a soccer influencer earning ten million a year. Easy and carefree.

Who knew the System would turn around and bind him to [National Fan Expectations]: lose a game and his followers plummet, win and they go up!

To keep his pitiful handful of fans, Sun Xiaoshuai was forced into hellish levels of competition.

Then one day, he discovered that the System had gradually unlocked [Pele's Curve], [Maradona's Dribble], [Zizou's Marseille Turn]…

A stunning long-range strike shocked the FA Cup, a stint in the Bundesliga won over the European media, and he led the Olympic team to the top of Asia!

When a reporter asked why he worked so hard, Sun Xiaoshuai looked utterly resigned:

“Don't ask. I'm just afraid of losing followers.”

Once, when faced with the furious shouts of “Refund!” from the notorious fan, he could only play dead;

Now, standing on the pitch in the World Cup final, he smiled at the camera:

“Bro, no need to return the tickets this time. We're upgrading our seats!”
