The Sky Screen Reveals: After a Beggar Girl Defies Heaven and Becomes an Emperor

The Great Zhou was thrown into upheaval when a blood-written prophecy of the nation’s fate appeared across the sky screen. A Wu, the orphaned daughter of a former minister, faked her death and ended up a beggar. After swallowing a meteorite, she awakened spirit-seeing eyes, making her the only person capable of deciphering the heavenly text. Playful and eccentric, she pretends to be mad and foolish as she navigates the streets, but in truth she’s a top scholar, skilled in both letters and arms.

Powerful ministers have usurped the emperor’s authority, the second prince is pretending to be virtuous as he vies for the throne, and a vicious gang is running rampant through the martial world. With cryptic hints from the “sky screen’s secret messenger,” she must rely on her own wits to break through the obstacles.

She crosses paths with Emperor Xiao Jingyao, who appears to be a dissolute playboy but is actually a volatile, sharp-tongued tyrant. The two trade barbs and sabotage each other, then join forces to topple the conspiracies. The sky screen reveals the truth in real time, bringing one face-slapping moment after another and twist after twist. From a beggar girl, she defies fate and changes her destiny, ultimately becoming Empress and reigning supreme over the world.
