No Mercy on the Road Home

He sits on the steps drinking mineral water, then spits his gum into a trash can ten meters away. No one knows it’s all a disguise for an “ordinary person.”

Lu Yu was once a test subject in the secret national project “Red Fox.” Ten years ago, after a failed mission, he fled overseas. Now he has returned for one reason: to fulfill a promise and save his sister from the control of the Black Crow System.

But when he uncovers the truth, he realizes this isn’t revenge. It’s a war over “free will.”

Black Crow isn’t the enemy. It’s humanity’s self-protection mechanism, born of the fear that people might lose control.

And he isn’t a hero. He’s just someone who doesn’t want to lose anyone important to him again.

As the entire city comes under consciousness scans, and people’s smiles grow as hollow as a robot’s…

He will use the most ordinary means to awaken the most authentic humanity.

“I’m no god. I’m just someone who isn’t afraid to get dirty.”
