I'm a Guard at a Psychiatric Hospital

At noon on a blazing summer day, a prison shrouded in dark clouds stands on the southwestern border. Inside is a man who never speaks.

He was once the youngest scientist in the military. Now they call him a “madman.”

No one knows what he’s waiting for, until one day he smiles at me for the first time. “You’re here.”

I’m Lin Zhao, an agent with the War Department, demoted to prison guard. I thought I was just carrying out an assignment.

But he says, “You’ll die in the rain.”

The next day, it really rains, and I nearly get crushed by an iron gate.

These aren’t the ravings of a madman. They’re prophecies.

The diaries he’s kept for ten years are full of future events, and every one of them comes true.

I’m the only person he can talk to.

I didn’t come here to interrogate him. I came here to find answers.

But when I uncover the truth, I realize...

I didn’t come here to find answers. I came here to save someone.
