Mysteries of the Secret Realm: Starting With Boonie Bears

When anime turns into deadly realms, the whole world is gripped by terror over rules-based horror. Chen Mo, a former criminal investigation consultant, is dragged into the secret realm [A Terrifying Night in Bear Ridge] and discovers that every warm childhood memory has become a deadly trap. While others flee in panic at the sound of a bear's roar, he collects rule fragments from tree hollows. While others are deceived by talking trees, he studies the direction of their growth rings through a magnifying glass. The sound of Guang Touqiang's chainsaw becomes a death knell, while King Jijie's bananas conceal livor mortis... The curse demands that he escape within twenty days, but quietly turns around when he calculates the lumberyard's safe-time ratio. "So the most dangerous rules were never the ones in plain sight."
