I Am a Sage of Merit, Teaching the Future Demon Lord the Analects

When Xuan Chen, the most “trouble-averse” sage in history, finds a young Demon Venerable destined to destroy the world, he chooses the Analects over his fists, and “education through love” over thunderous suppression. And so, a bizarre sight appears in the world of immortal cultivation: the future Demon Venerable is forced to recite the classics every day and write eight-thousand-character reflections whenever he disagrees with someone.

As the immortal sects from all directions surround them, Xuan Chen lazily pushes his disciple forward. “Good boy, go reason with them.” The next instant, Mo Yuan recites an incantation and summons thunder from the Nine Heavens. Turning back, he murmurs helplessly, “Master, I don’t think they’re listening.”

“Then,” Xuan Chen says with a light smile, dusting off his sleeve and lifting his eyes, “step aside and let your master teach them what it means to win people over with virtue.”

This is a dimensional assault that overwhelms the world of immortal cultivation with culture, from teaching and imparting knowledge to protecting all living beings, from one person’s invincibility to spreading the seeds of civilization across the heavens. When the apocalypse arrives, master and disciple stand side by side in white. This time, they will teach the world what “benevolence” means!
