Great Ming: From the Start, I Tear Into Zhu Biao and Leave Old Zhu Stunned

Lin Yu, a master surgeon, transmigrates to the twenty-fifth year of the Hongwu era. From the start, he angrily berates the dying Crown Prince Zhu Biao and stands up to the volatile Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang! Everyone thinks he is about to bring disaster upon his entire clan, but he pulls out two ibuprofen tablets and, right in front of the imperial court physicians, brings the Crown Prince back from the brink of death! Zhu Yuanzhang says, “Sir, you truly are a divine being! I’m entrusting my Biao’er to you!” From then on, the Ming court has a “madman Lin” whom no one dares to provoke. Civil officials impeach him for spreading heretical ideas? He draws a map of the world on the spot and tells Old Zhu how vast the lands beyond the Ming are, leaving the officials questioning everything they know! Generals say he is all talk and no action? He improves gunpowder and builds cannons, increasing the Divine Engine Battalion’s firepower tenfold and making the Mongol cavalry weep for their mothers! The Minister of Revenue complains that the treasury is empty? He introduces high-yield potatoes and corn and promotes modern farming. In less than three years, the Ming granaries are overflowing, and the people never suffer famine again! “Old Zhu, stop obsessing over killing your meritorious officials. Look further ahead! There’s a whole world out there waiting for us to conquer!” “Biao’er, there’s nothing wrong with being kind, but you have to be ruthless with your enemies! Come on, I’ll teach you how to build ships that can travel a thousand li a day and take your fleet around the world!” Watching the Ming grow ever stronger, Zhu Yuanzhang is completely dumbfounded: “I only wanted Lin Yu to tutor Biao’er. Who knew he’d build me an empire that rules the world?!”
