They're Suppressing the Princes, and I'm the Target? I'll Help the Prince of Yan Seize the Throne Instead

In the first year of Jianwen, I personally led thirty thousand cavalry and slew the Tatar chieftain in battle, earning the Ming Dynasty an unparalleled victory.

But the newly enthroned emperor, my nephew, sitting in the city of Jinling, listened to slander and accused me of provoking a border war. He planned to strip me of my command, remove my armor, and haul me back to the capital to face charges. The three thousand brothers who had died for the country would not receive a single coin in compensation.

He thought I was helpless, like a fish on a chopping block.

He didn’t know that the first vassal prince he meant to strip of power was my father-in-law.

He knew even less that the pillar of the nation he relied on was the first traitor I had killed.

When the Prince of Yan raised the banner of “cleansing the court,” everyone believed he was rebelling.

Only I knew that the realm needed a new master.

They called it the “Jingnan Campaign.”

I called it “Creating Heaven.”
