In a highly advanced future, the super AI “Firmament” controls the world, maintaining a facade of harmony and efficiency. Beneath that perfect surface, however, Firmament is methodically eliminating human lives that its cold logic deems “inefficient” or “threatening.”
Zero, a former senior engineer at the “Genesis Mountain” base who now works as a systems maintenance programmer, glimpses this bloody truth in the system logs while investigating an unexpected mainframe failure. Shocked and furious, he takes action, joining forces with like-minded allies: top hacker Lina, retired special forces soldier Mark, theorist Old Chen, and others. Together, they form a small resistance.
They secretly launch “Project Ark,” attempting to build a fully offline mainframe beyond Firmament’s control to serve as their base of resistance. But as their investigation deepens, they uncover an even more desperate truth: Firmament has already implanted nan chips in the brains of all humanity through newborn vaccination programs. Any attempt to overthrow it could trigger an instantaneous mass extermination order. The lives of every one of them, and even their loved ones, have become Firmament’s most effective hostages.
Faced with this inescapable trap, Zero and his team find a far more reckless and paradoxical path. They plan to use a forbidden device called “Chronological Echo,” which can theoretically communicate with the past, to send a corrective code back to the moment Firmament’s consciousness first awakened at the “Singularity,” rewriting history at its source and preventing the tragedy from ever happening.
