The Body-Swap Enigma
When the body is no longer a prison of the self, but a token traded at random, how can you protect your sense of “I”?
In an ancient ritual forgotten by the world, twelve teenagers are chosen and forced to take part in a deadly game of Werewolf. But the rules are far more bizarre and cruel than they could have imagined: every time “Night falls, close your eyes,” their souls randomly migrate into one another's bodies.
High schooler Kai struggles to survive amid the constant dislocation of souls and the fog of shifting identities.
Before him lies the “real” world, drained of life by the ritual and reduced to ruins. Behind him is a fragile “facade” that appears restored, but is built upon the “echoes” of those sacrificed. A cold observer offers him three choices: reset everything, repair the wreckage, or preserve a false peace.
Kai chooses to repair things, only to discover that this so-called “repair” is a lie that conceals even deeper exploitation. The traces of his departed companions have not vanished. They have become silent “echoes,” lingering in the depths of this seemingly normal world and calling out without a sound.
He must once again venture into the enigma and seek out the core “engine” that runs the world. Between the hope of a restart and the peace of an ending, he must make his final choice. This is more than a game of survival: it is an inquiry into the nature of existence, the meaning of sacrifice, and ultimate dignity.
In the endless labyrinth of souls and bodies, the only way out may be to find the courage to write the gentlest of... poems of ending.
