Reborn in the 1970s: The Fearsome Hunter King of the Northeast

In the towering Changbai Mountains, seventy-year-old Baishan, an “old winter dog,” is the last mountain hunter who still knows the rules. One day, he closes his eyes, only to awaken in 1962 as Bai Xiaoshan, a frail boy in a village at the foot of the mountains, orphaned and bullied.

His body may be weak, but his soul belongs to a man who spent sixty years mastering the forests and snows. With Heizi, the loyal hunting dog who had been his companion in his previous life, he ventures back into the mountains. He sets traps, tracks animals, and gathers wild ginseng. Using the rules and wisdom handed down by his ancestors, he not only survives the famine years, but protects the whole village as well.

He seems taciturn, yet he sees right through people. He deals with his unbearable relatives, guides his honest neighbors, and leads the villagers to make a living from the mountains, carving out a better future. The regrets of his past life are put right one by one, and old grudges are settled according to the rules of the mountains.

From a despised “wild brat” to the revered “Lord Baishan,” he guards the old forest and the land around it. Then one day, a young educated woman from the big city enters his world, and this mysterious mountain wilderness... His world has always been filled with howling wind and snow, but from then on, a different color appears in it too.
