The System Sent Me to the 1970s, So I Emptied the Future to Give Back to My Country

In 2024, Chen Yuan, a key technician at a factory, hits a midlife crisis when he is mercilessly laid off, leaving him with no way out. A car accident binds him to the [Time-Space Supply Exchange System], and his soul can travel to 1977, where it inhabits an unlucky man with the same name who starved to death on a heated brick bed at a farm in Northeast China.

Even more incredible, the abandoned warehouse he rents in the modern era becomes a “transfer station” connecting the two time periods!

Faced with the scarcity of supplies and bare cupboards of the 1970s, he looks at the mountains of instant food, medicine, and industrial goods in his modern-day warehouse.

Chen Yuan smiles.

The biggest hardship of this era, hunger, takes no more than a pack of compressed biscuits to solve for him.

The most precious treasures of the era, antiques, are nothing but “scrap” to him, ready to be traded for startup capital in the future.

While everyone else is still worrying about their next filling meal, Chen Yuan uses modern fertilizers and seeds to make the barren land yield a thousand jin per mu!

When the village bully tries to steal his achievements, Chen Yuan hits back with a martial arts move from the future and teaches him a lesson!

When the country is at its wits’ end over a shortage of crucial technology, Chen Yuan quietly “scavenges” a complete set of technical blueprints and samples from his warehouse...

From putting food on the table to opening factories, from becoming a local magnate to serving as the hidden hand behind the nation’s heavy industry,

Chen Yuan uses a warehouse connected to the future to propel that impoverished era onto the fast track of technological takeoff!

Years later, speaking to reporters from around the world, Chen Yuan says calmly, “I’m not the richest man. I’m just a transporter from the future, a stepping stone to the rise of a great nation.”
