Urban Ghostly Rules Become Reality

I wrote a rule-based horror novel, never expecting its rules to start invading reality. At first, people merely discovered that anyone who broke the rules in my book would meet with disaster. Later, the rules gained a terrifying power: simply reciting my words could make them take effect. As the whole world succumbed to panic over the rules I had created, only I knew this was just the beginning. Because the final chapter of my novel read: “The author herself is not bound by any rules.”
