A Honghuang Native Stirring Up Trouble in the Ming Dynasty

Zhu Tian, a modern office drone, transmigrates into the Ming Dynasty as Zhu Xiongying, the Crown Prince's eldest son. Before he can enjoy his “scripted life,” a conspiracy sends him tumbling into the primordial world. Still in Zhu Xiongying's form, he becomes a disciple of the Tongtian Cult Master and the Cult of Jie’s “adorable little junior brother.” During the War of the Lich and the Investiture of the Gods, he wins everyone over with his cute antics and delicious food. Though he never makes the Investiture list, even the Dao Ancestor takes a liking to him. But after a thousand years, he reaches the early stage of the Great Luo Golden Immortal and can make no further progress, even after eating Laozi's golden pills and countless spiritual treasures of Heaven and Earth. He is thoroughly frustrated. The Dao Ancestor Hongjun and the Heavenly Dao have long known he is the one and only variable. Though they don't know about his past life on Blue Star, they have no desire to erase him, since things are going well and he is close to them. After the Investiture of the Gods, Hongjun summons the Three Pure Ones, whose relationship has soured over the tribulation, explains what happened, and reconciles them. The Two Western Sages are ignored because they once betrayed their sect. In the end, Hongjun has Tongtian tell Zhu Xiongying how to break through. Zhu Xiongying's incessant questions annoy Tongtian, who kicks him into a rift in time with a curt, “Go do your homework!” Cursing him as an “old geezer,” Zhu Xiongying suddenly finds himself in the Ming imperial palace, just as he is about to die of illness. This was all part of Tongtian's plan. Afterward, Zhu Xiongying returns to the Hongwu era and begins his life in the Ming Dynasty. But this time, the wasteland is descending into the mortal world with all the gods!
