Modern man Zhang Qi unexpectedly finds himself in a Beijing courtyard in 1965. By day, it is an ordinary residential compound filled with the bustle of everyday life: neighbors gossip, squabble, and bicker over trivial matters, and things play out almost exactly as he remembers from Love in the Courtyard. Scheming and petty concerns fill every corner.
But when dusk falls completely, the courtyard tears away its warm facade. Every resident transforms into a terrifying ghost carrying memories of the day, hunting by the rule of “hatred.” Anyone who offended or angered a ghost during the day will be stalked by it that night, and it will come to claim their life.
By day, Zhang Qi must tread carefully through the courtyard’s tangled web of relationships. By night, he must summon his courage, uncover the rules behind the ghosts’ deadly hunts, and fight to survive. To make it through, he has to navigate the narrow gap between day and night, advancing cautiously in this terrifying courtyard where day and night are reversed. Only by carving out a chance to survive can he gradually build his strength and uncover the truth behind this uncanny world.
Waste traveler.
Quite interesting,
